The level of a liquid is clearly and highly clearly indicated by a magnetic level indicator. Three main parts are often found in a magnetic level gauge: a float chamber, a float, and an indicator system. The Magnetic Level Indicator is primarily intended to replace glass level gauges. We provide magnetic level gauges with two types of indicator systems, capsule and bi-color rollers, and top-bottom, top, and side mounted construction. Magnetic level indicators can be made to fit a variety of sizes and construction styles.
The Magnetic Level Gauge uses the magnetic field coupling technique to calculate the fluid level. Typically, non-magnetic piping with process connections that match the vessel connections is used to build float chambers. The process fluid, pressure, temperature, and specific gravity of the process fluid all affect the size and weight of the float. A 360o magnetic flux field is provided by magnets inside the float.
